A multi-craft fleet practicing rescues on a lake

The Paddle UK Inland Open Water Safety and Rescue Course is a fantastic opportunity to discover and practice a broad range of rescues that will be useful to you when paddling on larger bodies of open water, in wind up to force 4. It is open to paddlers of any craft suitable for the open water environment, and can be tailored to the needs of the group.

We will spend most of the day in the water, and regularly be out in windy conditions, so you do need to be paddling at a standard where you are comfortable in F4, and have done some rescues in more sheltered conditions before. You will need to be well prepared and kitted up to be soggy a lot, but the atmosphere is of fun, experimentation and problem solving. This is a training course and not as assesment, so the pressure is off and you can try out any ideas, and ask all those niggling questions.

There's lots of information about the OWSR here, or if you'd like to have a chat about the suitability of this course for you, just drop me a line.
